With ChaCha they are attacking a particular niche; search noobs and incompetents. If you can't string a good search query together then ChaCha is the place to go. They both seem like good demographics to get clicks from to me. Let's hope for ChaCha's sake there is enough converting clicks. It would be interesting to know how many queries the human search bots have to retrieve a day? If you earn $5-$10 an hour as the going rate seems to be, that could make it a rather expensive way to run a search tool.
Cant say!! When Google had started in 1998, no one had believed that a time will come when it will beat search.com or Archies or Altavista..
Of course chacha has a shot. But can they spider and index the web the way G can? Can they deliver results with the speed of G? And most important of all - can they make $money$ doing it? I remember when people on boards were saying "who's google???" Now they've got their own verb!
chacha.com is a player. Google is the engine. If you had a poll attached to this thread, I'd vote No, it won't beat Google.
I think the services provided by google are impossible to provide by Chacha or any other search engines. Is it?
Chacha's concept is really diffent from Google. I'd say, Chacha can't beat Google in search but both Chacha and Google will have their share of loyal users.
i think if it even comes close to 25% of what google can do, then google will definitey buy it...wehehe i think all good webpages in the net will ultimately be owned by google...except for wikipedia,wehehe...
