I have been bringing about 2000 uniques a day to one of my sites using adwords but I don't see any Alexa increase. How do I go about doing that??
There's no code that will increase your Alexa rating. Alexa #'s are a result of the toolbar, that's it. People who visit your site and do have the toolbar installed will have zero impact. Honestly, I'd say don't worry about Alexa. Unless your in the top 10K the alexa rating of your site (or any site) is pretty pointless. BTW, I have friends in Palatine & Algonquin. Nice towns. edit/add - if you just want to track visitors I'd suggest Google Analytics.
check out my article on improving Alexa ranking, there are several practices that will help. One thing that will help your situation is installing the site widget, this will track visitors that do not have alexa installed. The javasript for this is included in my article. http://www.everythingkitchens.com/increase_alexa_rankings.html
chk out http://www.alexa.com/siteowners/widgets I have read that placing the widgets on your site increase your ranking, but I am not really sure.
Thanks for sharing the link. I have had ppc campaigns increase alexa before but it was because it was such a sheer amount of traffic and there was probably people using the tool bar who had clicked to the site. In my opinion unless you are ranking high in alexa its pretty pointless.
