Will buying a text link still increase your Page Rank?

I believe that the more links pointing one's site the better (for e.g., http://domain.com), even if it's pointing to a sub page.

 

There is no way that google can check its paid link . that is the reason nofollow tag has been developed there where ever it will be placed you will not get any points from that back link.

I avoide site-wide link. I rather want a single link from home page. Your link could be devalued if site-wide these days.

yes buying a link increase the PR, doesn't metter if u buy or request for backlink. google always count the backlinks.
