Will Bing Catch Google?

Just read an article from WebProNews stating the Blackberry will now feature BING as the default search engine. I'm hoping BING will continue its march towards capturing market share from Google. A monopoly like Google enjoys isn't good for anyone.

BlackBerry Partnership Only the Latest Ingredient in Bing Growth

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer announced today that Bing will be the default search on all BlackBerry devices - not only for the web, but at the OS level.

    Thoughts?

    lol, what is bing?

nah jk. I hate bing. It's like Microsoft getting even more money. Personally I find the best search engines for searching for real content are ones you program yourself. As for bing catching google, everytime I'm on it I get out of it or something else, I'm sure there are millions more like me....

I think that day will never come or at least not in the next 10 years. Most people I know outside of the U.S. don't even know Yahoo, Bing or the like. Maybe they gain a few % in the U.S. but worldwide, no chance.

It should also be interesting to see what happens once Yahoo! and Bing join forces next year. I don't believe Bing will completely take over Google, but it should definitely provide for a little competition.

If bing manages to get a 30% of the market..then it is still a big deal...but they need to offer something extremely different in order to surpass google. for now it seems they are just following rather than innovating.

Bing is hovering around 5% because its algorithm is a joke and people hate microsoft. They need to stick to their office applications. the only problem google will have is if it starts trying to innovate too much and loses its core audience and focus. At the moment facebook are draining all their engineers so that might also be a problem, but it will take a seismic shift to dethrone google.

I highly doubt that anything can beat Google at this point.

i don't think that it able to catch up . From news is just a new opportunities but in report, they find out that bing usually is dropping .
Stay the truth . But we hope that bing will become the real competitor from Google, so that they able to improve more and faster to take competitive advantages.
