I really am curious if having a backlink to google, either base domain link like google.com or a SERP link such as tsunami aid results have any effect on the PR or SEPs? Who has experimented with this?
erm... why should it have any effect at all? you mean to suggest that google rewards sites that perform public service?
sorry, wasn't trying to capitalize. just was thinking of a current event. I didn't feel like using condelezza rice.
reason I was asking is that some smaller search sites, gigablast in particular, will give you a boost if you have a back link. I was wondering if google perhaps had an underground/unofficial type of logic.
I was just messin' with you! Lots of SE's (in the 90's) used to reward sites for linking to them. Gigablast (boost) is the only one I know of now. Now, if you could get Google to link to YOU.....
Wow - that's interesting.... Didn't thinnk of getting a mention would be easy enough to even imagine that.... Don't know if having there direct attention in such a way could be a benifit or a possible vulnerability.... Don't think I want to be singled out from the crowd with them.... I think.... which one? google.blogspace.com or www.google.com/googleblog/
Google ignores pages from it's own searches, but it doesn't do the same for some other engines SERPS. So in theory, you can improve your backlinks by linking to a SERP from certain engines. The only problem there is that you are also benefiting your competitors. I am not going to go into detail here, as I don't want to start a new round of spamming
If I get around to it, I'll dig up an old page that is indexed decent across the engines and see if can sandbox play with it. More out of curiosity, but who knows, we may be surprised by the results.
Logic, Concept and Idea always same but the implementation is the way is the matter to watch so be smarter rather then word harder as an decent significant manner which will support you high to achieve the Goal of high serp .
