   I have a IDE laptop hard drive, which is like 2.5". Will this work inside a 3.5" enclosure or do I need specifically a 2.5" enclosure for it to load up.

   different connector (much smaller on 2.5") and therefore you'll need the 2.5" enclosure AFAIK.
