    Hi,

I have a very basic question in my mind. I know adsense placement have an impact on CTR, but I am just wondering if you have seen any difference in CPC when you changed ad placement?

Only post here if you have personally experienced this. Don't just post to increase your post count.

Sometimes yes, depends on content length.

Yes. With ad units that are in content, I found a slight change in earnings based on where in the article I placed the unit. If your article is targeting a good CPC then make sure you have one in-content unit before or after the title. This is one of the best ways to ensure that relevant ads will show.

You can actually test this. Place a single block of code in a large article. Now put it at the top. Refresh your page a few times. Then put it at the bottom and refresh again a few times. If the ads change based on what Google is crawling on your page then the answer is yes... if not it's no.

In my opinion... and I seldom use more than 2 ad blocks on a single page... it will make little difference.

The real killer is using too many ad blocks... especially when there are low paying bidders in the niche like shopping.com or ebay.

You want to really cut back on ads then so you get the best possible performers.
