Interesting question: To prevent the spread of mfa sites, will Google ever one day have a way to analyze your site based on how many ads your have or your ad placement to determine how well your site ranks in Google? This would prevent many mfa sites from ranking well, but on the other hand Google will somewhat loose out of money from those ads given Adsense is such a huge money maker for them.
It might be if you are linking directly to the advertiser website, specially if it's not relevant to your website content.
It's a little sad that Google doesn't take that in account since I'm running adsense sites . But that's the reason why Google doesn't take that in consideration since then all the websites that ranks high would be adsense sites and that's not so good in a bigger perspective..
I've been seeing results with my Adwords text in the description for other sites when I search for my domain name lately. I think yes, the text in ads on you site must have some sort of effect.
I'm pretty sure it already is. I think if you have low traffic, and google knows you have low traffic, and you STILL carry ads - even though they're probably generating next to nothing - then Google will give you negative points. My $.02
I wasn't speaking of traffic, but more of ad placement. If you have a bunch of giant ad blocks covering everything above the fold, Google might penalize your site.
