Will a Motherboard with 800MHz FSB support Celeron with 400MHz FSB?

I'm looking at getting a motherboard that has a 800Mhz FSB, but it says it supports Celeron D, P4, and Pentium D.

I have a spare Celeron CPU however that supports a 400Mhz FSB motherboard.

    Will they work together?

    Thanks

    Maybe.

May I suggest that you visit the web site of the MB maker and really read what it says under the specs. Many of the boards are retro and will support older stuff. Usually when this happens the slower memory is the better option.

Just to be clear, If it does not say Celeron without the D I would have some concerns.

Thanks, I've researched more and yes it will not work with each other.
