I've noticed that if the keyword is the domain name it ranks higher in google. I'm looking to build a website in the USA, which I hope to rank high in google. The word I want to use is already taken for .com but it is not for .me. Are .me domains recognized by google in the US? and can it be ranked higher than a .com? Shearching on google in the US I haven't seen to many high ranking .me domains. Can anyone answer this? If it can be done do you have a search term that shows a .me at the top of a google search?
yes it can rank just the same its all about how much effort you put into seo. good content, quality backlinks, you shouldn't see any difference really.
I agree with solarpanelsdirect, it depends on how well you optimize your site for specific keywords regardless the extension of domain name.
