Will a domain redirect pass on PR to the original domain?

Okay so I started a new blog and the domain is gabrieldiaz.net. I thought it was kind of long and afraid some people might misspell it so I also registered gjdiaz.com and I have it set to redirect to gabrieldiaz.net.

If somebody linked to me using gjdiaz.com would that be the same as them linking to gabrieldiaz.net? In other words, I want gabrieldiaz.net to get credit for the link, not gjdiaz.com.

    Any input please?

I suggest that you implement a 301 redirect from the old domain to the new one

you can lean all about it here

in doing so you will preserve your pr and eventually all your back links
