When I said good 3d I meant like 3d tv which is trade marked and registered. Most people only view the first page or 2 in a type in search. The best developers will have the front row seat and their sites will have all the links and info everyone else is buying. Probably be about 6 big popular sites and most of these domains I see here will be dropped unless a few diehards really like their domain.name. I could be wrong and I hope you all make a whack of cashola but I would not count on it. If you have something decent get developing it and build up some back links and seo.

    epic fail lol
m8 i just watched a domain go for $466 undeveloped and not even something thats mainstream in 3d now i could assure you if i put the name here you would class that as "epic fail" also.
nobody here is trying to become a multi millionaire although that would be nice lol but just make a few bucks .
A lot of names will not make it i agree but tbh most people just need one to sell in order to make something i have some i know i will probably drop eventually but lets be honest here 3dtv,3d movies,3d scanners,3d printing,3e webcams etc etc are all having serious cash injections by major companys who have more expert knowledge than any of us so its not just 3dtv that can sell take a look around m8 3d is everywhere and this is the biggest thing to hit the marketplace in decades another chance like this wont come around again soon.
when tvs went color/colour from black and white well thats how big this is except this is not restricted just to a tv and a movie
    crazy talk ?
erm no this is a tech revolution going on,go and scour the net read up on 3d forget movies and tv's look beyond that at other industries if you lost your leg tommorrow did you know you can have a prosthetic one made exactly to your requirements with a 3d breakthrough ?
i could post around 100 examples here for you but i would rather you went away and found it all yourself.
when you say about people only search the first two pages a lot of people here have domains which are keyword rich for that specific niche so will show in the first two pages easily so i guess most of us will be ok :)
by the way i have around a dozen sites all front page at the moment

I agree big time. I haven't just bought on a whim either...spent hours and hours looking at the different 3D stuff coming around...even put 3D as a news alert on googlemail. 5 months ago was getting an odd story here and there ..now it's none stop! OF COURSE there'll be loads that fail, but you know what, there'll be loads that succeed big-time. I have more respect for the guys willing to take a gamble ( and it IS a gamble) than the guys just ragging without showing any evidence that it's all a waste of time.If it does turn out to be a waste of cash..my bad..if it doesn't...yours..

gets on my nerves when people comment on things when they cant see past their nose
the amount of people who think "3D" means a tv or a movie is astounding but good news for people like me also because by the time they realise that it will be too late and i am tired of making people see sense all my m8s thought i was mad when i started this now they are all scrambling over me wanting me to give them a decent name cheap or reccomend one to them.
    why ?
because i have sat in the pub and had lengthy discussions with them and shown hard evidence to the fact that 3d is more than just a tv set, movie and a pair of glasses.
I barely have a 3dtv or movie name have a few but not many but saying that as lubbinit said its a gamble and thats what a lot of my names are they are make or breaks not scared about taking a risk some names i bought i know for certain i will sit on them for at least two years but at the end i know for certain they will make money back for me others i may drop and others i will sell off when i feel the times right
speculate to accumulate as they say

People are viewing the 3D technologies potential on a slim time-lap instead of seeing the long run...

The 3DTV's (the rest of 3D Technology isn't even out yet...) haven't even reach 5% of the population yet. Not because it's a fade: because it's a frigen expensive new tech (like any new tech!--remember blu-ray?). It will take at least 1 year to market the technology and get public desire. The only reason we are talking this much on 3D techs on this topic is that we have(or had?) the opportunity to register 3D tech/products DN's before they came out! And there's still plenty of time left to buy out a great 3D domain name from it's owner for a cheap price(because most domainers aren't longterm holders).

The 3D bubble is pretty much more longterm then 3D trolls think of...(and [at our advantage] the average domainers think that way too--for the 3D!) There isn't any bigger tech coming out in the next (minimum) 5 years on a wide range size. So basically, it mean's that 3D will eventually be mainstream and be part of our gadget & entertainment life.

Why should I worry of the potential of my 3D domains?
I should only worry of it's quality & related keyword potential : then classify the ones that worth the renewals & the ones that will end at the yard sale!

I rather buy high quality domain names with different extensions then buying mediocre 3D .com domain names.

Imagine... what if in the future where will be the new .3D extension ?

    You guys got owned.

    mediocre .coms ?
still the most popular searched extension with around 400k a month being registered and the average housewife type surfer has never even gave any other extension a second glance let alone know about them.
say what you like about .com but it speaks for itself

That's because .COM is 25 years old. But today... .COM is decreasing and more and more peoples are buying ccTLDs. According to the statistics, ccTLDs are increasing faster then .COM was back in the 80's.

As an American, if I cannot get the term I want in .com, I see .us as my next best option. Unlike .net (which would be most people’s preferred alternative) the .us extension imparts a valuable message in the domain name by telling surfers where you are based. Many countries have looked to their local ccTLD first because they want to buy locally and there is also an aspect of national pride there. To a large degree, people around the world are the same, so I think Americans – when increasingly forced to look for an alternative to .com due to the scarcity and expense of names in the gold standard extension – will increasingly give serious consideration to their .us extension.”

ccTLD is the way of the future.

maybe but it will take a very long time before .com is overtaken right now .com is still the most popular and will be when i sell my names on hence i have more .coms than any other i have some others also just because the .com was taken
