A .co.uk does kinda limit your options though as its less likely other countries will visit your site than a other international domain.

a .co.uk limits you to brits yes, but if you can find a search term that only brits use........ remember we both speak english, but we use many different words.

That's part of my second question
    ..
. WHY are there so many great names still available in co-uk?

    Am i missing something?

    I have registered fifty-five 3d, .co.uk names in total
... ALL fairly big names too (3dCellPhone.co.uk...etc)

    any insight would be helpful.

    thanks

We don't call them cell phones but mobile phones or mobiles in the UK.

    "Call me on my mobile"

The problem with .co.uk domain names is their price. You have to think twice before registering one. I always get caught in two minds - register 1 .co.uk or register 2 .coms

True but then again a many people search for their phrase and add 'uk' to it and a .co.uk shows up better due to this. Plus it narrows down the search considerably.

Just FYI...I logged into my Sony credit card account and they had a poll, "which sony product are you most excited about?" and one of the options was "3D HDTV" which got the vast majority of the votes...so it looks like Sony might be referring to it as "3D HDTV".

i LOVE the two year REG!!
.. Best part about them... well, other than the price, agreed, but not having to worry about these next year is the reward!

Any yes, i understand the languages and slang and catchphrases may be different (i almost bought '3dtele' but decided against it... good thing after i found out it's actually spelled 'telly' ), however the industry remains the same... looking at Google's keyword tracker in the UK still shows that "Cellphones" are searched in enormous amount of times...
if you combine the the singular and the plural versions of 'cellphone' and 'cellphones' .. PLUS the times it is searched with a space and without a space ('cell phone' +' cellphone') you still come back with 3,000,000 searches a month,...
.. same search method for 'mobile', 'mobile phone' and 'mobile phones' proves you correct 2and1 with almost 7,000,000 results alone for those three strings....
.. but if i had a keyword domain name with ONLY 3,000,000 searches on it, i think i could live with that, so that's really only partly true
... i guess i'm wondering WHY so many have been so available and even now, still are... on top of that, Estibot seems to LOVE .co.uk names (or maybe it's just 'cause i only use estibot to gauge the available domain names in .uk, and NOT the taken ones in .com .. ya think that could be it? :)

    by the way ..
    3dmobilegame.co.uk is available

    i'm DONE buying

    - - - - - - - -

    funny thing there Mark ..
... it looks like everybody is trying to distance themselves from the other by switching the acronyms around.
Panasonic is going full out HD 3d... while sony is going all 3d HD

... shouldn't have too much of an effect on serp's, as they will both own jurisdiction over that term :)

    ... but cool findings.

Have some fourty to fifty 3Drelated .co.uk domains.

Unless developing and making them become litlle or larger profitcenters
they are - as most other domains - worth less than the registration fee paid.
