Will '3D' Revive The Domain Industry - 3D Domain Names (?)

I just bought 8 3d domains. Some have are pretty good keyword and search string domain names. Im going to devolpe 2 or 3 of them but I want to sell the rest. What would be the best way to sell them?

 

I was looking an there are some pretty nice .tvs out there. Are they worth buying? The $40 registration kinda sucks.

for that kind of money i can have almost 6 dot-coms that will sell higher on any given day

I own 3dadvertisingagency.com (purchased it about 2 years ago. Great Thread!! This really could go on forever as it seems like everyday something new is gonig 3d. I do own a lot of 3D domain names... can not seem to keep up with the renewals... they really add up!! How long do you think before it will catch on with the general population or even domain investors?? I would love to sell a few names but the market is sluggish now...

 

The market is sluggish as you said. Looks like we will have to wait for at least 6-7 months before the domains will actually be searched for by the domainers.

 

heres a free 3d Domain for whoever fetch's it first, since i don't even have 5$ left to buy it (i bought alot of domains) quite sad, since its quite good, first PM with over 5 iTrader gets it free (just pm me )

 

Just sold a short " 4 character 3d domain " on Sedo buyer just bought at buy now price $1800
had the domain for 6 months. A very nice return on a $8 investment

Will give the domain name once the sale is all completed.

 

I beleive we are all on the same train and same track. It is going to get others to see this domain industry in 3D that could take awhile. Speaking of trains... let me retrack my statement. With the sale of 1800 RECENTLY... we could be on to something here. I did sell 3DBakery.com for 1,000 but that was about a year ago. I also sold 3DMobilePhones.com for $250 a month ago.. I really hope I do not regret that but I had to not to loose others. Besides those... no nibbles. I hope this snowballs soon as it just may be...?

 

As for 3dalaska all it takes is a company in Alaska Anchorage to want the domain

You regged it back in 2007 just hang onto it if you drop the domain it will be snapped up.

 

Surprised to see the price you got for 3DBakery.com.
And I personally feel that had you held 3DMobilePhones.com for another year, it's price would have been 10x of what you actually got.

By the way, I sell these .info's for 20$ each...
And, 200$ each .tel's (or 300$ for both together!)

 

Lucky guy who snatched 3DWarehouse.com, but I'm pretty sure Google will be after the domain name soon.

Also .. i was able to scoop a "Google Breakout" ... Check Google Trends and Google Insights
(snatching a 3d breakout is getting much harder to do)
.. something i had touched on earlier and seemed to have just missed the mark (although, i was close) .. so i kept searching... FINALLY i was able to find the STRONG STRING i wanted for that demographic

3d Chat - 27,100 / month

The 3d parallel searches are, for the most part, very low - but they're on the board and climbing - and therein is the point. SMALL sample size, but should be enough to go about our way and find more - learning search behavior.

Meaning these strings are (most likely) the ones that are going to be searched. (this seems to be one of the hardest parts in this 3d game, because simply throwing '3d' in front or in back of a keyphrase will not always work ... terms like 'Free Chat' (450,000 searches) WILL NOT be searched as '3d free chat' (91 searches) ... it will be searched as 'free 3d chat' (1,700 searches)
