First-Ever 3D Experience Hits New York City Next Month

“Tri-curious New York City residents and visitors will be treated to a very special three-day (of course!) event next month, when The 3D Experience hits Times Square. Following successful events in Singapore and Hong Kong, this festival will be giving both industry insiders and consumers at large the lowdown on the latest and greatest technology. For more details on what we should expect next month–the official dates are Friday 9/24 thru Sunday 9/26–we bent the ear of Nino Balistreri, Managing Director of The 3D Experience.....

....One event we're particularly excited about is the 3D Test Drive. It takes place at the NASDAQ MarketSite twice during the festival, first on Friday in a special media-only press preview luncheon, and then again for Executive Forum Delegates on Saturday. This is the first time anyone has offered a non-biased platform for comparing, side-by-side, the top brands in 3D TVs currently available."

this is NOT grandpa's old '3d' anymore
..it's obvious that more people need to be a little more educated on the "NEW" 3d for 3d domain names to succeed
... apparently this seems to need more time to make people understand the difference

...not to mention that the new 3d movies (most notably, the new 3-D PORN) are being filmed with actual 3d camera's.

It has started, but just the beginning...

I see all these people making serious money online. It stirs all sorts of feelings inside me, jealousy, excitement, hope, anger (that I'm not doing it too).

Its cool to see that people are still making money with this business. Hopefully one of the various money making ventures will eventually pay off like it has for so many other webproneours.

    hmmm...
    .. i don't know Giles

iHolo would have been better if you were thinking in that area (?)
.. but 'e' is already becoming outdated a bit, no?...
... plus, when they do come - which is still quite a ways away - do you see the 'e' names still being a factor?

almost seems a bit redundant... i mean 'e' meaning 'electronic', right? .. isn't it kind of assumed that that's what that would be?
.. i guess i'm just thinking out loud... but would you register 'HoloEmail'?.. or just 'HoloMail'?

i pass on this one.. i'm sorry

.. unless you can persuade me into thinking otherwise... do you have anything to show me that kind of gives you an idea that this would be a good buy or just a hunch?

Alerts are a good way to keep up with niche subjects your interested in but can be a bit overwhelming if there are a lot of matches for your alert.
I prefer to personalize Google news on the desktop (http://news.google.com/nwshp?hl=en&tab=wn) for any related news stories. I have also added some 3D subjects to the "News and Weather" widget on my Nexus One. One of the subjects I added was "3D Gaming PC" (I did that just after I regged 3dGamingPCs) and ever since have been getting a steady stream of news about 3D capable laptops and PCs.

Here's a sample of the archived stories for 3D computer and one for 3D laptop

    Cheers
    James

    not a conversion[/QUOTE]

I was under the impression that 3d films of the 70s and 80s used real twin lens cameras it's only recently that they convert 2d to 3d with computers hence the lame 3d effect.
I'll never forget seeing jaws3d at the cinema and everyone trying to grab bits of meat floating in front of them. I've yet to see a hand move in the audience at any of the new 3d films.
The best 3d effect I have seen on any modern 3d film was step up 3d ( despite bad reviews imho it's the best 3d film to date )
