I can't believe this thread is so huge! Yeah you might be able to get some pretty great keyword phrases by jumping on the bandwagon but ultimately it's what you do with the site that will make them sell for big profits. Buying a $10 domain and flipping it right away for $1000 might make you feel great but to me the person buying that site is being stiffed really. I'd much rather build a few brandable web properties that actually add value to the web. If that happens to be with a 3d domain that makes sense then so be it, but there are plenty of domains out there to buy that are aged and will work just as well if not better.

    Just my 2 pennies worth...

I am back!!! For you out there who remember me. I have been renewing my 3D Domain Names hoping this incredible notion I have (as well as many of you here have) will pay off sooner than later as it has with my two domains I sold: buy 3D PC and Buy 3D Laptops both .com. I know we all have to be patient. Everywhere one looks, there is 3D. It is becoming a 3D World: 3D Boardgames, 3D Makeup, 3D Toothpaste, 3D Chalk, 3D Art (I believe I do not have to mention movies and tv programs), etc. I look forward to once again become a part of this forum.

I grabbed this name after setting my alerts a ways back, but unfortunately, i was only able to grab the dot us version of this name

I notice according to seobook most users search for 3d keyword rather than keyword 3d, I was wondering how many of u were buying both domains or just sticking with 3d followed by keyword.

Yeah I tried to buy 3DWedding(s).com a while back but the owner wanted a lot as he had development plans for it.

I did grab these 2 though

    3DGraduations.com
    3DBirthdays.com

I think events like this will be very popular with professional photographers. A lot of the average families wont be able to afford some of the expensive 3D camcorders so they will hire companies to come and record their "special day" in 3D

In the beginning, I did not care if the 3D was before or after... I ended up purchasing both. I do have a lot of names and am now being selective on which ones I renew (I guess watch GoDaddy's auction for all mine that are expiring...) I do have a few names that probably will not go anywhere... but on those I am STILL renewing 3D before... I just hate to see them go. They are generic names that will themselves not turn into a 3D product... I just believe 3D Websites will be next therefore it could have a value... those I am ONLY renewing when the 3D comes first.

i have NO problem keeping my 3d AFTER names... these will be just fine
    ... names like 'Games3d', 'Movies3d', 'Vacations3d', 'Cable3d', 'Chat3d', 'Cam3d', 'Exercise3d', 'Streaming3d', 'Online3d', 'Mobile3d', 'AIO3d', 'Animations3d', 'Map3d', 'Gamble3d', 'Home3d', 'Shop3d','Anime3d', 'Laptop3d', 'Net3d', 'Travel3d' ... i have every one of these names in some extension or another and i think these are very, very viable options that should not be ignored or even considered to drop.

I think they key though, is to not have many words in front of the '3d' in order for it to be considered a legitimate option.
... if you have names like 'shopdesktoppc3d', or 'buyblurayplayers3d' .. then those are flops waiting to happen... but one word followed by 3d, as outlined above are still going to be great names.

PLUS.. keep in mind, hollywood has already started to establish 3d 'at the end' to all consumers ... think 'Avatar3d' or 'Pirhanna3d', 'Saw3d', 'ESPN3d'...etc...

I think you're misreading this right now Geek... i would re-evaluate before letting some potential good names drop (keep in mind, i don't know the quality of the names you are considering dropping)

    Good Luck :)

I think if anyone is going to have Keyword3D names, make sure it's the .COM or I think it will struggle, just my opinion on this....
