I have a brand new site, a subdomain actually, and i am about to pay a guy to get me 30 backlinks. 3 PR 5 7 PR 4 10 PR 3 10 PR 2 Will this help at all? Does anyone have any experience with starting from scratch like this. Im shooting for a PR 4, how far to do you think the above links will get me?
That should give you a damn good boost but it all depends on the relevancy of the sites and the number of links on the pages that link to you.
In my experience, you need around 1000 back links to get a PR4. 30 is a good start but I do not see you getting a PR4 from it. Back links is a result of quality and quantity and it is a constant building more process. I do not believe that buying just those will give you the quick fix you are looking for. Also at this point, chances are that you will not even see any results until late this year because Google has just updated backlinks which means that PR update is normally not far behind. My advice is not to stress so much about PR and work on building traffic and good content, the PR will come with time and with building more back links. If the links you are talking about are related to your niche and a good deal, than I say buy them, if it is just a quick fix to get PR4, I do not think it will happen. JMO
These should get you PR 4 in the next update ( 5 - 6 months from now). Just make sure the pages from where you will get links are all related to the theme of your website and do not have more than 10 outgoing links on them. Also, link the subdomain from your main site also.
You will need to get 100 backlinks from sites above your PR to go to the next PR. And you will need to keep on getting 100 more backlinks (from sites above your PR value) before every time they do a PR update.
Actually I don't think there is any defined rule that one should get 100 backlinks or 1000 links to get to PR4. It is relative and depends on the website niche. Just keep consistent in getting links and you will be doing good. Aside from the above mentioned links that you will be buying, you should keep exchanging/getting links with related industry sites on a regular basis. Don't rely on those 10 or 15 links only.
of course it will help, they are pageranked already - how long it takes google to pick up your links on these remains another story! .
Everything depends on the goal, which you pursue, that is what keyword you want to be in the top ten. Youк website's PR does not guarantee the traffic, I have website with PR5, but no traffic, and PR3, with 1K+ searches in Google. Pay more attention to the link anchors leading to your website.
Be careful, as they might well be PR4 rank homepages, but the sub pages are PR 0 or PR n/a. Ask for a full breakdown of the pages he/she proposes to submit your site to. Si
Well this is a good question however please think of this way.. that if you are not sure of this PR update, u must be working for the next one and moreover need to much clear of the goal.... Like how much you want to achieve...So clear your mind... and keep yourself focussed...
However this is so frustrating, has anyone here ever used Elance to hire a free lance SEO before for link building. i went through the whole process to post a project and negotiate terms, to buy the 30 Links and now the guy i choose tells me he wants to complete the transaction and project outside of elance. i dont think its safe or ethical to do that, and he is just not willing to do it thought the elance payment. now he is telling me that he will just do ten of the links outside of elance and then the rest of the project can be inside elance. I think he is planning on screwing me over. ahhhh i wasted like 2 hours on this. has anybody gotten good results for link building via elance? thanks
every link help you but with different weigths. how many outgoing links is there on the pages which your link stays?
Yes, that is a valid point. The page that your link is on myst have the PR rather than the homepage. Good point Si
