20,000 sig links will not hurt or help your cause, its that simple

I think with in short time build more back links then its effect.

 

there still few things to consider:

# is forum sig a DoFollow Sites?
# What is reputation of the Account holder? Having 20K post is really hard to acquire unless you spam the whole forum.
# are you willing to rent him in long term? coz if not the sudden decrease of your backlinks will hurt you

 

It will not pose a problem ...rather i think it would help you

 

if all comes suddenly than it may however it depend on your links profile as well .If your site get thousands of links every day then it shouldn't create any problem but if site has a very few or limited links than not a good idea to build all aat once ...Build them slowly by mixing your anchor text and deep links as well

 

It shouldn;t but most likely the value of your links will get discounted

 

Google don't hurt your website if you are regular promoting website as white hat.
