Will 20000 signature links hurt me

If I rent signature links for my site will 20,000 hurt me with google. My domain is 13 years old, we just put up a site recently on it. There were a few things up there before but not alot

It depends. If the old site using your domain used to be included in google (for a year or longer) then you shouldn't have no problems. Though if you have only just recently got your name included into google then i would suggest not risking it.

That's left me stuck for giving any advice. I think I best leave someone to advise you who might have had some experience with re-listing a website into google. Sorry i couldn't help more

It will not lower your Pagerank. It can only increase it.

    Think about it:

If it damaged rankings you could easily make your competitors ranking drop by using that method.

You cannot overdo offpage SEO it's just that some links are higher quality than others.

Most likely 20,000 low quality links will not improve ranking one iota.

Not necessarily. If the site is newly indexed into google. Then the site isn't seen as competition. So 20,000 back links popping up for a site that's only just surfaced. Can look un-natural and can get your site sandboxed.

I doubt it. It'll take a while for the spider to find that many sig's....plus your domain is incredibly old so there shouldn't be a huge issue there either

This will never hurt even if you get a million links...

Just don't ping your links and you're fine...

NO it won't hurt your site. I heard in one of the advices by Matt cutts (now don't ask in which video cos i don't remember it) that such number of backlinks at once won't effect your site at all. As a matter of fact, it won't bother the site at all and rather give it positive credit to it.

Those who want the video where matt cutts said it, can search for it themselves cos i don't have it on the top of my mind now.

Sounds like a lot of confusion on this topic. Although there are a lot of great suggestions and comments, you still need to remember that they need to be QUALITY links. For instance, if you have a link to your site and you sell shoes, you don't want all those links showing up on a site that sells oil for your car. Those links in abundance WILL hurt your page ranks. A few will most likely not get noticed by the spiders. If you can keep your signature's on sites that relate (the closer the better) to what you have to offer, than those links will help you greatly. In this case, the more the marrier and the happier the spider. Hopes this helps. If you wish to learn more on how this works, I learned the latest on youfountitworld (that's a .com), and it was explained so easy, that anyone newby could figure it out.

With your old domain, it should be fine, but I suggest not building those links at all once. Spread it out over a matter of days or weeks.

I think that's no problem, but do you think 20.000 is a little large?
