Im thinking of putting 200 dollars into directories, but im not sure. Im currently getting about 200-250 uniques daily and I have PR 0. I was thinking of submitting to: http://www.alivedirectory.com/ http://www.avivadirectory.com/ http://www.bigweblinks.com/ http://www.sevenseek.com/ So can you guys like give me an estimate on how this will help me? will I see any PR shift? My traffic from search engines is about 130 daily. Will that increase? Thanks. This is the first time im going to be getting into paid directories.
All the 4 you mentioned are really worth submitting to and am sure they will HELP you in gaining PR and SERPs but this doesn't mean you stop... Continous promotion will only guarantee that you retain your obtained PR And there are many FREE Quality directories too where you can submit your sites for free!!!
I don't think your PR will increase just because of the 4 backlinks from those directories, you need far more than only 4. http://www.avivadirectory.com/strongest-directories/ There are some quality directories which are always recommended, hope that helps.
Your selections are Will help with strong back links and SE indexing and will help to give power to your site but this time around the PR on your site will not change and unless you get on the home page of the selected Directories your traffic will be low but focused Good advice is to set a Review Submittal Program over say 90 days to your budget selecting a cross section of quality paid directories The selections you have made so far will put you on the right track
Those are great directories and worth the large submission fees. You should check the PageRank of the exact pages where your listing will be located too. (example: http://www.avivadirectory.com/Computers-and-Internet/Templates/ has a PR4, not bad considering the homepage is PR6). Beyond those you should continually build backlinks high or low PR because the PR could be higher in the future. The more quality links the better.
PR is not going to change the quantity nor quality of traffic that you get. I doubt that anyone outside this industry knows about it let alone uses it. And if it is traffic you are looking for start with the free directories. But make sure you have got your keywords sorted out and that you know where you want to go. You also need time to move your sites through the rankings on the search engines. Finally dont rely soley on the search engines. You know your product. Consequently you are the only one who knows how to market it, get people to look at it and to then press the button.
4 are not enough.. Try submitting to more directories like www.directorydump.com www.romow.com www.elegantdirectory.com www.gii.in www.forplex.com www.dirsensei.com www.leadingdir.com and many more if you have good budget.
Fine directories you have selected there. But don't stop at that. Try submitting to new ones whenever you gather some funds. Think it as an investment that never has to stop. Imagine what would happen if Google stopped investing. Keep it countinuous dude.
You should use this tool to track your keywords over the next few weeks as the new listings get indexed: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/ The directories you've chosen should have a positive impact on your SERPs, whether this results in higher traffic depends on if you've chosen the right terms to target. You could also spend $20-$40 a month on listings in smaller directories. Here are some directories that have worked for me over the last few weeks: http://www.trincas.org/ http://www.thebroadest.com http://www.2yi.net http://www.cbgred.com http://www.dirwizard.com http://www.linkbook.org http://www.indexzilla.com http://www.map100.com http://www.allinfodir.com http://www.3windex.com http://9ug.com/ http://www.all4seo.net http://www.zorg-links.com http://www.browndwarf.com http://3wlink.com/ www.webotopia.org/ http://www.linkopedia.com/ http://www.zippydirectory.com http://www.directorydream.com http://www.biz-dir.co.uk/ http://www.ewebpages.org/ http://www.allthelook.com/
List your site in the four you mentioned. They are always a plus. You should also do your own further research - maxlinks.org is a recommended site on a sitewide and I am sure you'll benefit from this.
Consider investing some of your budget in niche directories. Remember that your goal is ultimately traffic, rather than just PR, so you have to go where the searchers are. And some of your potential visitors will be using niche directories since they tend to contain more of your competitor's links, so they could be more likely to attract direct traffic that's closely targeted to your industry.
Niche directories are good but forget about PR. Its a song and a dance you dont want to get involved in. Its an industry thing. Something we all talk about whilst nodding our heads wisely. But the truth is, its history and has little bearing on what happens to your site in the search engines or who is going to visit your site.
