Will 1000s of backlink sent my site to neverland?

Hi I got a site which is not very new was doing ok at #19 in my main keyword, but out of sudden my sites coukdn't be found anywhere in the search result. I reaslised someone had send quite a lot of backlink with adult realted keywords. Is it the cause of my site mssing?

yes this is the main reason your site is out of SERP because google count those backlinks as spam.

 

Keep improving your site by adding new unique content and buy few quality links and your site will come back sooner or later.

 

Content is the best part in SEO and quality link building. Content should be new and attractive and links are come from relevant sites and good pr.These things are very important for SER.

I don't think your site was penalized for link spamming. If SE's were to punish sites for this, it would be easy to kill you competition by just link spamming.
Like the others mentioned - updating the content is important.
Did this happened in all SE's or just one of them? If this only happened in one SE, it could've simply been a result of crawling and status update.

 

Well it seems like it's possible even though Matt Cutt had said its not possible, did a search and I am not the isolated case. I believe my domain age should more or less settle down. Believe me its the not G dance.

The only SE matter are the Big G. The rest I don't really give a hoot.

 

I agree that posting of new quality content on a consistent basis, along with quality profile backlinks is the answer. I would use backlinks from .edu or .gov with PR of at least 4 or above. These will be high quality, and should ensure you move up the SERPS. Paul and Angela type backlinks would be ideal to use. This should avoid spammy or adult related backlinks.

 

i think more and more backlinks will increase ur site traffic

 

Google does not accept links from adults site .Be sure of this by checking you site's backlinks that where they are coming .You can use backlink checker like backlinkwatch.com to check backlinks

 

have you check that your site is getting any backlink from an adult site???May be due to some other reason google has penelized you.

 

But it should relevant quality links.

His competition could point links to his site from wherever they want, it won't affect his rankings negatively.
@Am I Tinman: Did you link out to any bad neighborhoods, like link farms, spammy sites, virus sites...? Did you suddenly change your permalink structure? It really can't be from those adult links. The worst thing that could happen from them is your site gets out of the index for a few weeks but enters back stronger or at the same spot. Keep building links to it and it will come back.

 

You site is not panalized for spam back links but would be other reason or your competitors are getting too heavy.

If it is so then any competitors would post your links to spam website to take your site down.

 

Nope I didn't. Used all the usual stuff link article directories, blog networks, web 2.0 etc. Unless someone did so without my knowledge.

Even i hope it isnt but I am quite sure it is. Could be one of my dear competitor that sabotage my site. I did found quite a few cases site got drown by such tactics, unless your are really an old site it could take a long time revive.

Not that I can see, but the links shown anchor text of adult related keywords pointing to my site.

Google has penalized you but Don't worry just go for some high pr Good One Way Themed links and you'll be back in business

 

I think it's another reason. Sign up for Google webmaster tools to find out what links you have or if you have any malware on your site.
