I'm watching news about US economic and financial crisis for the late 2 months. I wonder, is there a ways these things could effect on us as affiliate marketer. I'm thinking about exchange rate between dollar and my local currency and a drop on demand in some niche by consumers. What do you guys think? Please share
I'm from the UK and the crisis here has definetely been affecting sales. The fact is that people are no longer spending as much as they used to... It's like a dominoe effect which really effects almost everyone in one way or another.
The financial crisis is worldwide. That doesn't mean a small affiiliate marketer/blogger/ publisher cannot do well because they don't have large marketing/staffing expenses that others have.
Yes and No. Sales based programs will be hit VERY hard. People just won't have the money/credit to exchange. I think lead based programs for debt will go UP UP UP!!! Also, many leads will stay solid even though a crisis is ongoing because they are FREE.
I've said this elsewhere, but interest in continuing education goes way up as the economy goes down since people want to get better-paying jobs. I read somewhere that people also do more gambling (even though that doesn't make a whole lot of sense), but don't quote me on that.
People turn to the internet for quick money so there will be more newbies for you to teach or sell to.
