I've got a few links to sites from wiki (not all of them I put there myself!). I only try to build very high quality sites though.

I certainly wouldn't like to spam wiki as it is a genuinely useful resource.

Here's a neat little trick though: If you do happen to have a link to one of your sites from a wiki page that has been there for a long while (Over three months) why not try linking some other wiki pages to the wiki page with your link. If you do it a few times it is beneficial to wiki and may imporve the wiki page PR with your link on it.

    Take it easy guys

I dotorg site site no ads of any kind and orriginal content can do well on wikipedia. If you decide to ads after the site is an established wikipedia link you may have more success.

No one is abusing it friend. My page is super targeted and full of useful free information. It was rejected because I sell 1 clickbank product. So i just created a blank page with no links anywhere else and linked to that with my useful information. If it doesn't work that way now then I'll stop. I linked in an education section of a language. My page teaches adjectives on the language.

If you are the only one trying to add it, it can't be all that helpful. Seriously, why do you want the link on there anyway? Don't try to say because it is useful and would help people because we can bet that you haven't put anyone elses up.

You want it up there for SEO benefit/traffic. Its for that reason people would be critical as Wikipedia doesn't exist so that you can profit.

I respect their policies I do. Yes obviously it will help me benefit in SEO. I submitted only once before and a second time last night. This last time I just linked to a blank page with no links pointing anwhere else. It teaches how to use adjectives in the language. If that is gone then I will stop. Only trying to improve my site within the terms I can folks. Thanks for the help.

Get a feel for web 2.0.

Your link is usually "sticky on wiki" if it's relevant. You don't get upset if your Digg post doesn't make it to the front page, do you? Let the masses decide. Make your contribution, accept the edits, and move on. ;)
