Hi all.. I am working with an E-commerce company.. They want their company page on Wikipedia. I have not done ever. So, Can anyone guide me step by step to create a Wikipedia page.. Will be always thankful for this.
Wikipedia is one of the best Search Engine Engine with deep information about all thing & details. Wikipedia works according to useful sources and data to give 100% unique & right information to their visitors and their normal features for their regular visitors. Wikipedia has Create account & Log in options so you can easily create a page for your company but Wikipedia will approve your page than your website page will be live for everyone but Wikipedia approves a page when they found real information about a company.
If you still want to waste your time doing this despite the advice you've been given, Wikipedia tells you how to create a page, took me 30 seconds to find it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:How_to_create_a_page
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:CreateAccount&returnto=Wikipedia%3AHow+to+create+a+page You could try creating an account and see how it goes. Best of luck!
Wikipedia only accepts verifiable content. Any information or fact must be verified from a third-party authentic source, such as a news site. We create Wiki pages, and it's fact that many times it could be deleted as well. It's difficult for an e-commerce site to sustain on Wikipedia, if there is no substantial news/story that could be found online or in print.
@gautamdev1990, I can help you if, you are still interested. I have a colleague who is one of the top admin on wikipedia. Note : i was about logging-off when i saw the thread and i decided to post my comment. Listing biz profile that remain undeleted is very difficult except, if done through one of the admin or moderator's. Thanks
In the bottom of the Wikipedia page there is a paragraph for creating a new page. But the info mignt being checked and prooved many times before it will be published. Make sure that u make the checker's job easier.
I've tried several times, haven't succeeded though. Don't think it's possible unless you have been mentioned on BBC or shit like that so you can use it as a source.
If your client has been involved in a scandal or is a celebrity/artist/scientist, === or has done something noteworthy, a page will be easy and legitimate. If there is a particular product or plant that your company works with and has not already been discussed on wiki... well you get the point, right?
