What do you think of Wikipedia in term of Competitor for your keywords , i saw Wikipedia taking #1 rank on many keywords and my high keywords going down ... What is your opinion ? ps) For those who dont know what is wikipedia (< 0,00001 %) you can visit : http://wikipedia.org Results 1 - 10 of about 173,000,000 from wikipedia.org
isnt it owned or affiliated with dmoz? I think the same thing. Info in wikipedia on some topics is pretty questionable - and much like dmoz, the "other links" sections are filled with spammy sites.
It's one of the best info sources on the web. Most articles seem to do a pretty good job presenting a neutral viewpoint (if that's even possible). If you consider an article to be biased, at least they have a system that allows you to dispute it.
I think a major difference between DMOZ and Wikipedia is that there is no appointed editor for a specific topic. Anyone can add a good link or drop a bad one at any time.
It already is! I have had my links on there purposefully broken by 'rivals'. I am a wikipedian, and the whole concept is great, but with such a huge site there will always being problems, politics and arguments. It does come up great for a lot of keywords, but there are 1000s of links on it to other sites, so many are benefiting.
