we all know how to add external links, but how can you add a business? I have tried and it was a gerneral not over hyped article of 700 words, kw density was 2% and it got deleted.

Reading the guidlines it says you cannot promote your own business, so how can I put my business on wiki? Searching wiki I can find even local businesses added on there WTF?

How can I do this? I did write in the 3rd person

Wikipedia could bring you some traffic and a few backlinks from an authority site like that will certainly help you even if they're nofollow. However the moderators of Wikipedia are quite picky and they don't like commercial sites, advertisement, SEO, etc. If your company is totally unknown on the Internet you can't just write an article about it and publish it on Wikipedia. They will delete it in less than 12 hours.

You can put your business on wikipedia by stating FACTS only. State what your business does. A history of the company... who started it, when it was started, where it's located, etc. Do NOT "advertise" on wikipedia by saying how great your work or product is. No fluff... all facts. Create a separat bio for the founder. Link to it from the company page. Link to other already existing wikipedia pages from the company page when you mention keywords that they have pages dedicated to.

And as others say, all links there (well, 99.99999999% of them) are NOFOLLOW so they will do absolutely nothing for your rankings at Google. But they can send you traffic and possibly help you get links from other sites in rare cases.

You may be able to find someone who is a Wikipedia editor to help you get your link listed on there. I have seen people looking for Wiki editors to get their links on the directory. I would imagine that it's pretty rare to find someone and that it would cost quite a bit.
