I'm wondering, since Wikipedia's content is copyleft - which means you are free to use it for your website content (afaik) and you only need to credit the original authors - is anyone doing this? I think it would be great to use that data however I'm worried about my site being downgraded due to duplicate content. Maybe taking excerpts here and there from Wikipedia pages would help? Any thoughts on this?
Personally I don't see how having slabs of wikipedia content on my site will help persuade my prospective clients. If you're doing it for traffic, I wouldn't be keen on seeing dumps of another site to convince me to buy a product: it might create the perception that the product is just a "dump" of other material too.
