Hi all! It's been awhile since I posted here... been rather busy. What with temporarily moving countries and all that. Down to business... (apologies if this is considered too spammy for this section) I've just spent a bit of time customizing my own Wiki website. I have to admit part of the idea was borrowed from this forum... the idea really impressed me and I've been wanting to try it myself for a very long time! So the low down is that it's a revenue sharing Wiki, I'm inviting for a limited amount of people to give it a Beta test!. Requirements: Google Adsense account English speaking Reasonable research skills Acceptable editing skills Trustworthy Sense of humour! Is it something to do with fetching data from wikipedia and re-creating it, just wanted to make sure if we are on same page or not !!!
Sorry guys, I thought this thread had been deleted... hmmm. But it's only been moved so that's ok. No it's not going to be a wikipedia mirror / copy. Direct copying articles will be discouraged. Theme and scope is kinda open at this point, but I have a feeling people will end up putting in articles that have a little more orientation towards Products & Services. I'm not going to let it turn into a spam fest though. At the moment I'd like to give it a live trial by fire because I've made my own hacks to go with existing Wiki software. People may also want to suggest some more modifications I could make.
Hopefully both. But initially the focus will be on articles that appeal to a more general internet audience. So I'd leave the "How-To's" until the site is a bit more established. FYI: I plan to be buying some traffic to kick-start the site probably in 1 - 2 weeks from now. At this stage I'm inviting early birds to give it a try and the advantage of claiming some prime keyword space.
