I know that they are nofollow but does it pay off to have them? I got like 5 links atm and I am getting some trafic from them.
you just said it dude, if you got some traffic from them it must be good. try getting more of those. rinse and repeat. for sure more traffic will come.
I too get some good traffic from Wiki links but be carefull not to over do it as I had a few of mine deleted.
And what if you add the domain name to the reffrence? Like: title - domain.com Will that help in any way with SEO?
The thing that most people tend to forget is that one of the most important aspects of off page SEO is the IP diversity of inbound links and this is where nofollow links work really well. Sometimes they are great for traffic but more often than not they are really good for adding quality IP's to your inbound link landscape.
I have stores on auction sites and found out link building is the best resource for traffic. Just takes years to build up the links on sites that are decent. Finding sites to drop links on is hard going so I built my advertising forum in addition to getting my links in on other sites. Not bad. Just takes forever and a day but I'm seeing some positive results from it.
I am hoping they are beneficial to sites as I spent quite a while editing some Wikipedia articles so that I would be able to include links to my site in the Reference section. Now I just have to wait and hope I get some traffic from that source.
They're good for traffic but also because right now Google loves Wiki, so by you having a link there, it increases your authority in the eyes of Google, which is also part of a good SEO.
What's the blackbox stuff all about on Wiki? I just flashed it quickly because I have other projects to finish up before I dive into this Wiki thing. I did see the blackbox but didn't study it to much. If someone could give me a quickie coarse on the blackbox I will be thankful. I have advertising projects and am overloaded with them so right now it's a quick post here then back to work.
