Just got an email saying that all products similar to my BreWii will also be discontinued on April 9th. Ouch talk about bad timing on my part :D

Guess I had better email all of my affiliates again.

    That's weird on CB's part...
I'd understand if they discontinued all "DOWNLOAD MUSIC (Games, Movies) products... but that?

ain't that a bitch. Sorry to hear! This is a good time for all of you to race to the alternates and be there first, could sweep this niche quickly if you take this as an opportunity instead of a slap... (perhaps some already have). Throw it on PDC, C2S, Plimus, even in-house...

Make the most out of a bad situation, and for the remainder look at what other effects and ripples these decisions will cause. Without giving away too many clues I can think of a few ways to monetize from this shift already, however I won't touch these niches personally (no offense). Market shifts can make or break you, prepare to react and profit if you can.

Is your product a P2P one, I thought it was just a guide showing how to mod your Wii?

They might've got some complaints from Nintendo regarding unlocking the Wii. Or they might just be avoiding anything which breaks the TOS of the product mentioned in the ebook.

I'm not involved in those niches, so I'm just hoping that all the affiliates with no product to promote will come and find mine... :)

As the owner of Homebrewinstaller, i`ve received no notice from Clickbank regarding this, yet. I have e-mailed them and await a response. If they are going to remove these products, then i will be moving to Paydotcom, Plimus, or ClicktoSell. Let`s see.

Not only all that here is another major change-

    Decommissioning Installments

For accounting reasons, as well as other issues, ClickBank no longer offers installment products for sale. The ClickBank order form for installment products is no longer available to customers. Any outstanding installment payments owed for products already sold are automatically processing on schedule.

I don't feel this is a good move on behalf of clickbank.

This whole thing almost has the feeling of a changed merchant account. I'm wondering if maybe clickbank lost their merchant account, and maybe had to find a new merchant account to process their orders. This would explain the recent problems w/ sales, and the change in the TOS. I could be completely wrong, just a guess.

Well my understanding is that Paypal has been, and remains their processor for all transactions, including all CC transactions. But yes, something prompted legal to force this issue.

actually this is one of the smartest things they have done since they have introduced direct deposit. There are too many questionable products on cb and I am glad they have taken steps to remove some of them, hopefully they ban some more.

Homebreware.com has not received any notice from clickbank that it will be removed from the marketplace. We have sent them a message to make sure and will post back.

Why do you think these types of things are always freely available on the net? The guy that does all the firmware work for the 360 dvd drives could be a multi millionaire had he sold his firmware like you guys are doing. But he didn't for a good reason.

Just because you are selling it somewhat anonymously doesn't mean it's allowed.
