    Hi,

Im moving into a house in the morning. I have looked at getting broadband installed and it wont be until January.

My next door but 1 neighbour is a good friend and he has said i can use his and he has given me his password. The problem is i have to sit in a certain part of the house to access it.

Im just wondering is anyone aware of anything i can buy to pick up the signal so i can then use a lead or something so i can get internet access in another room?

    I hope that makes sense.

    Tony

Apart from buying him a weather proof box to let him put is router outside im not really sure.

Different WiFi products have different ranges though.

Try using a USB WiFi stick ($20ish from DX) instead of your laptop's built in WiFi. Put the USB stick near a window (pointing at your neighbour) and run a long usb lead into whatever room you're sitting in.

If you have problems with the signal, try putting the USB stick in a wok. It works.
