Ok for the last week or so my website has been showing around 51 different websites linking to my own site, if I do a link:http://www.nycfashions.net in yahoo's search box it now is showing up as 227 results up from please note that this occurance happened within the last 2-3 hours of this messages date and time, the strangest thing is when I click on say page ten it then tells me that the search results are 51 even though page one says their are 227, also when I research for the ommitted results it still shows only 51 even though page one clearly says 227 results found, I checked it hours before more than once and it was showing 51, and for the entire week it has been in the 51 results range, my question is am I in a type of pre-indexing stage and will all the sites I have been index to be showing up shortly.
Hi Lincoln =) That will happen if you have more then one link coming from the same domain. Lets say you have 100 total links, but 20 of those have links are on the same domain as one of the other 80. So when you see all your links with link:yourdomainhere.com, it would say 1-80 of about 100. If you want to see the other 20 its hiding, click 'repeat the search with the omitted results included.' at the bottom of the search page and it will pull up all the omitted results. I like to use alltheweb.com to pull up links, which reports 227 links for your website.
