Ok So I Get This Email Yesterday

This e-mail is to notify you that your WidgetBucks account has violated our terms of service and will be suspended Your site has violated one or more of the following provisions of the WidgetBucks Terms and Conditions (http://www.widgetbucks.com/terms.page):  Non-English Language Site, Ad-only Pages, Pornographic Content.

Non-English Language Site

Our Program Policies state that you may place widgets on pages with content that is primarily in English.  You may not display WidgetBucks widgets on pages whose content is primarily in an unsupported language, unless you get prior written consent from Mpire.  Placing WidgetBucks widgets on non-English language sites without our permission is a violation of this policy.

Ad-only Pages

Our policies state that you may not place widgets on pages that are published specifically for the purpose of showing ads.  Placing WidgetBucks widgets on a page that is primarily showing ads is a violation of this policy.

Pornographic Content

Our policies state that you may not place widgets on pages that contain pornographic content.  Placing WidgetBucks widgets on a page with pornographic content is a violation of this policy.

Since you have violated these terms, your account will be suspended at midnight (Pacific Time) on October 20, 2007.  Since the traffic to your widgets was in violation of our terms, we will not pay out the commissions associated with your suspended account.  We are giving you this advance notice, rather than shutting your account off immediately, to allow you time to remove the widgets from your site and preserve a good user experience for your site visitors.

You are like the 5th person that I seen this happen to. I guess WidgetBucks aren't as good as they seem.

 

Donno why everyone hyped them. maybe cause they were new + had high cpc?

Just been banned by the same reason (exactly those three reasons). Looks like a complete SCAM.

 

I guess they seriously look at the purpose of the site. If it's MFWB then you are a goner!!

I think its good part of them that they are letting you know and allowing you a chance to talk back to them about it.
Which advertising network does not do the banning? But all does not give such chance.

So instead of posting here, why don't you talk to them and find out why they blocked you. They have given the email address.

If some people are getting banned, I think there are more chances of others being paid.

What makes them SCAM?

 

it is simple, if your visitors are not converting, you are going to get banned.
What is so hard? In Adsense is the same.

 

Well i warned people yesterday this will happen, i just hope it wouldnt happen to me because soon i should be earning 400-500$ a day from widgetbucks on one of my websites and if they bann me for that i will be very pissed off.

Btw do they have a phone support line, im pretty sure they should be able to afford one if they can pay so much publishers on december.

 

I think they are not banning for non-conversion. That will affect your CPC (or RPC as they call it). You will earn less but not a ban.
They have given the reason why it is banned, if you think it is not correct talk to them on that email and then do let others know whats wrong.

Don't just post, "I tried to cheat, they banned me, now the are scam".

Sometimes, the banning is done for something which is not correct, talk to them and they will enable the account again. I know one DP forum member (Waster) got his account back by talking to them and proving that he did not cheat and break their TOS. You can follow the same path.

Your calling a system because you got banned. If you didnt breach widgetbucks terms, contact them because, i know a few people who have got their accounts back in widgetbucks and otherplaces.

Otherwise they have had all the rights to ban you for not following their terms of service.

 

Widgetbucks may not be a scam but they are wicked...think about it rationally..I dont think anyone would give them $0.4+ per click...they have planned out in such a way that they give affliate money from the sale and they distribute it to us for clicks..Now if the clicks frm our domains arent converting..they get absolutely nothing from us..while they do have to fish out money...I guess around mid-next month we will see a lot of bans for the precise reason that all shopping sites have a 30 day cookie..and if the clicks have'nt converted after 30 days..Widgetbucks Inc..wud get nothing and thats when they would ban..widgetbucks equivalent of smartpricing.!!!

 

widgetbucks is horrible, suddenly my account went from $2 to 40 cents?? What the F is that? I'm all back to adsense, at least I actually get what they state I get.
