I use widgetbucks on the right side of my Lakers blog, but I have seen much profit, in fact haven't even reached a dollar yet and the widget has been on my blog for a couple months now. Not a scam, but not very profitable, at least in the sports niche.
I would not really call them a SCAM. I would say that they are virtually worthless... their ads look too much like ads and they produce the lowest CTR that I have ever seen. I get 1/10 of the CTR that Adsense receives on the same pages.
That could be true in some cases. But I wonder why some people are saying their WidgetBucks CTR is higher than Adsense. For me, if I'm a casual surfer and I have seen Widget Bucks before, I probably would develop a banner blindness to them...
I commented on this a day or two ago too. Last month's earnings have still not been finalised and displayed on publishers' My Bucks pages. Why does it take three whole weeks into February to confirm January's earnings? It shouldn't is the answer. I hinted at this before but now I am sure that WidgetBucks is using sleight of hand and delaying tactics to disguise the fact that they are rounding down publishers' legitimate earnings.
