WidgetBucks - SCAM ! Atleast for me

Discussion in 'Pay Per Click Advertising' started by ishan, Oct 29, 2007.

I have been trying out WidgetBucks on one of my websites.

At first I got $0.28 per click for a few clicks, after which I did not get any click for about 4-5 days.
In these 4-5 days, thy corrected earnings per click to $0.2 then to $0.14 & now $0.1 per click.

They changed RPC thrice for the same clicks when the figures were not red (not pending) , so how can they change finalized earnings ??

Also, the impressions they are reporting are about 1/10th to 1/20th of the impressions reported by Awstats/Adsense/Google Analytics. Due to this I don't believe that they are reporting all clicks too, maybe they are 10 to 20 times the clicks I have right now.

Did any of you face this ?

From what I can tell they seem to be counting unique impressions rather than just impressions - I think that's actually a fairer, more representative way of doing it.

As for whether or not they accurately report the number of clicks, I think they would be incredibly foolish not to do so - imagine all the negative publicity. Unfortunately, if you play by the rules, you've got no way of checking.

    I made about 1000$ in 11 days...
My RPC is good, most of the times it incresed after audit, i never saw clicks disappear...

Indeeed there is a problem with the impresions, but i don't mind...

Unfortunately, i'll see in december if i really get paid or not...

I read a good article about WidgetBucks here and I agree that the main concern is still that nobody has received a payment. Apart from that there are presented some good points that might persuade you to sign up if you're still wondering.

Hmm, I just started using WB, about a week ago. Yeah, my 2 clicks have been 56 cents total, and the impressions seem right.. we'll see in a bit I guess.

no one know if WB are scam or not untill any of their publishers get paid !!

I want to give them a try .. but i have few reason not to !!

    * no one got paid yet , because its a new network !
    * they started their campaign to steal adsense and other networks users with their high payout !! but for sure its going to drop.
    * ads are very slow to load, specialy to slow connection visitors.
    * many publishers complain now about earning drops.
    * also they banned many publishers untill now .. lets wait and see how many more will be.

so .. for now its a waste of traffic and time and money !!

Initially I feel that we need to give them sometime before we become perceptive. They have just started and got to a mark of 30,000 publishers which in itself is difficult to manage. Just wait till Dec 15th all will be clear.

same here. I had their ads up for a day a few days ago and earned about 2$. Removed the ads due to the low CTR, so never earned more than that, though now they removed those stats and say that I didn't earn a buck!

(of course I changed "this moth" to "last month")

When I switched to WB, I did notice low impression count compared to Adsense, so I switched back.

i have the same problem, my RPC is .34 then when the amount is calculated it became .21 . Also the impression is low compare to adsense, maybe because of the slow loading of the ads.

as of now I am trying to wait it out. They're just too good to be true, but if you guys get the payment it's not too late for me anyways. I already joined but I am not yet displaying their ads. I still have my doubts.
