I have launched my first medium to large campaign - this is a new approach for me as I'm usually working in adult related industries - anyway I have split some of my dollars and traffic to my WB and Adsense (sponsored) site and to my surprise it's doing ok. Making about $6 from WB and $1 from adsense from 1000 impressions. So about $7 for 1000 impressions - a big leap from the adult industries CPM rate of about 30-40cents LoL. I will let you know if I get banned from adsense for displaying both on same page or from WB.
I think there is a lot proofs of good results but is this just one of these companies not paying people?? Anyone here from widgetbucks that confirm they pay in time etc. Would be great..
What I have seen so far is, it is working quite great for some and not working at all for others. So it is actually depended on the niche in which you are working in.
Well yeah I had an advantage I guess, I have a (bunch of) wholesale websites already - with articles and product reviews and the like. So for me it was a matter of pulling these old sites out of the closet and bringing them back up to date, then simply adding the WB widgets. So not necessarily (just) for entertainment or Arcades. My audience is probably more targetted than some.
@ DeeDee no one has been paid yet by them because they just launched the network at the beginning of the month. Around mid december is when the first payments should be made.
I started testing it yesterday. After selecting the right kind of products for the niche, the sites that I put widgetbucks on, have pretty much tripled their CPM. The 45c+- per click is very nice.
Yeah I was off to a flyer, now it's slowed down dramatically, only one thing is getting to me and that's the loading time of widget, loading toooo slow - especially if you place a few on a page - I'm guessing that's why my page views is on 900 and adsense is saying multiple 1000s for same page. I guess widget has to load to be counted as a page view.
okay thanks!!! Anyone who has tested all categories?? seems like there is a set price on each category!!!
Um yes it seems that way, Home Entertainment is 41cents !! Google is paying about 20cents for links on same page from what I can gather.
They have limited number of categories. So getting more relevant ads is difficult if your site is not in one of those categories.
