Better send e-mail to ask them if it is okay to put Widgetbuck ads on proxy sites.

    Hello All,
Just picking up on this thread. I'm Dean Jutilla, Marketing Director for Mpire Corporation, the folks who just launched WidgetBucks. I've seen a number of posts that seem to be a bit skeptical about WidgetBucks' backing. I do want to let you know that we are a real company, backed by reputable investors, and operated by a real professional team. You can read about the company in the About Us section at Mpire.com.

We are new and we understand that there is always skepticism with anything that is new. During our beta period and since our launch oct. 2, we have seen great results from our publishers. And while we can't guarantee the same results for every publisher, we are extremely passionate about building a fantastic service and product.

It's our hope that publishers are successful. We are committed to building better reporting, new, cool product, and to listening to our customers.

We have made some recent updates that Wasted referenced, with more to come this week. Incidentally, My Bucks does indeed show your $25 sign up bonus, which many of you had asked about. Check out our blog and/or subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks again for signing up and for your interest in WidgetBucks. -Dean J.

How old is this site? They don't even rank on the 1st page if you search on Google for "widgetbucks" or "widget bucks"

Hi Dean, I am interested to hear from you regarding the question raised by several people here:

    1) Are widget ads allowed on proxy sites?
    2) Are they also allowed on proxified pages?

According to widgetbucks TOS, it seems like its allowed, would like to hear from you personally though.

Thanks, looking forward in hearing from you.

l0zo, isn't that just a little bit sleazy grabbing a domain name typo for widgetbucks and putting it in your signature with a redirect that includes your referral link?

Dean, thanks for posting on the forums. It does seem you are a real company! Seems like you guys started something great! Infact, so great, that you might get a someone HUGE interested in buying you out..you know, that's what happens! As long as there is hype...the big guys will notice ya!

$25 is alot to give away FREE to many many people. I think that's why so many are skeptical. The FREE payout to so many does not seem realistic. Maybe you guys have good startup funds. Who knows. That's probably what you need to better explain and assure people you have the funds to back this plan up!

Also, will you be changing the payment and pay per click structure if you find that paying $0.28 to $0.48 per click or more is not working out....you know, you must have good conversions in order to pay that much, correct?

Well, hope to hear mor from you soon!

    I agree with sandyfeet.
Also, I think they need work little more on their contextual targeting part.
