    No they shouldn't.

That IS NOT a good business model. If they ever do start doing that no publisher that is smart would stay with them... incase their traffic doesn't "convert" over time and they lose possibly xxx$ or more in revenue.

One thing which is concerning me about WidgetBucks - you can't keep a running check on your referral earnings. Most other referral programs allow you to track you referrals almost in real time (well, with a few days lag) whereas you only see WB referral earnings one month later.

I guess I don't like the idea of taking them on trust - partcularly when they're such an unknown quantity.

nope..it is a scam..if u want traffic that converts..why dont you put up a minimum requirement??..if widgetbucks potenitally get $60 frm a sale and returns it in the form of a $0.4 click..it should be ready to face many clicks which do not convert..besides if u see that clicks arent converting..why not smart price 'em..as it stands what you earn from just a single affliate sale is equal to over 5-10 publisher paychecks..
n as regards your argument about poor traffic..just consider this scenario..
u get a 100 clicks tommorrow..and 3 people intend to buy it later..But since widgetbucks doesnt understand the logic behind 30 day cookies..they will most probably ban you but in case there is a sale..they will gulp up each n every cent..
Hard to justify this as anything other than a big fat dirty scam..what say??..

Based on the update that i received today. They say that if you "re-apply" the widget the js should load faster. And if you don't have the time just re-edit the widget into another category and it should fix the slow pageloading.
