WidgetBucks is looking like a decent adsense replacement

They're going to struggle now, If I were them I'd start selling banners and links - like an adsense module, and have that in rotation to the countries other than US and canada.

    So :
    USA and Canada see Widgets.
All other Countires see Banners and Links.

I'd even buy links from them then.

I hate to say it, but they better enable some sort of geo-targeting, so you can show alternative ads to those outside the US, or else, I may have to rethink the whole thing. If a majority of my traffic came from the US I'd be ok, but I've got a good global mix.

That's the problem - most of us do have mixed traffic. They had potential to. I guess all these bannings and crap will keep them going for a little longer.

Gee that's bad - I stopped all traffic campaigns to my site now, only natural traffic will be flowing to my site wth WB on them - at least ntil they sort their crap out. I don't even bother checking the stats anymore.

Yes they have nice banners and offers, really good earnings but.... Site is very slow loaded when you have their advertising on.

I think Google adsense is still better and if you cant GAS so try Bidvertiser or TNX.net.

If you have extra monthly traffic you can try Kontera, I thínk Kontera is the best ad system, but only for high traffic pages.

Widgetbucks is starting and have still some problems.

I haven't found Kontera to be very good. The average CPC is less that $0.05 most of the time for me.

They are a pay per click thing. I guess they have some sort of formula, x amount of clicks = $X of sales or something?

last 2 days I gave them 4000 impressions and got 0 clicks. On the bright side Google is paying great on these pages. WidgetBucks is definitely not PPC no matter what they claim. They are liars and thieves.

    STAY AWAY!

They had been reporting a 3% CTR on these sites and suddenly .5% and now 0%... Exactly what Shitika did! My stats show nearly 50% US traffic. STAY AWAY! ... I made it to payout assuming they don't do any other underhanded crap. Thankfully I was able to turn them off with just a few clicks. :)

If you invested any money in this company you're about to wave b-bye.

Well they have finally been honest for the first time since they launched :

"We are Going to look after the Advertisers and Boost the US traffic and turn over"

Well they have done that haven't they - in a big way.

weird, so that makes it sound like they are being paid as a PPC also, but that really seems unlikely. I still think they are getting sales commissions and that is just some hot air. CPA programs like Amazon seldom care what kind of traffic you send since you will only get paid for legit conversions.

Yup I think that they were loosing to much cash, they simply weren't ready for the amount of members that they received, as they weren't even sure on conversions or how well WB would perform for them, I guess they over estimated how much they'd make and paid to much per click (to us).

They should have tested the program first by inviting some beta testers - instead of diving straight into an unkown business module, performance basis - simply put : they weren't prepared.

I too haven't received a single click for the past few days. I've since turned them off most of my blogs as they have a tendency to slow loading times significantly.

Even if you have 50% us traffic it will be 50% drop of cpm. This is realy a lot.
So ad on your site will be free. They maybe do it on purpose to get international visitors for free,

This is where the power of php and include files comes into play. You should invest into a advertisement solution: http://www.openads.org (freeware). basically it can control advertisements on a bunch of sites.
