I saw John Chow's review of WidgetBucks (http://widgetbucks.com) and it looks like a good idea. The ads serve pics of products with descriptions and prices but pay per click. I added one to my page, but it made my page load slowly and brought up an alert saying, "A script is trying to load, but it may make your computer unresponsive." So I took it down. Anyone else having this problem?
I have realized same problem as you. Site is loading extremly slow. But I want to see earnings first before taking it off.
Hi guys, It seems they've made an update of the widget's loading speed. I've read about it while reading at this WidgetBucks Blog among the other updates in the review.
I'm using it right now.. Check out my blog (I can't post links yet..) It's at the bottom right. cashninjas.org/blog
I am using widget bucks for my ads on one of my websites. It pays more than adsense does. I have gotten around several clicks, and each click ranging from .30 to .60 cents.
No.. You get a widget that is basically an ad.. Well, I guess what you said could be right in a sense. Woohoo, got a 50 cent click on a blog I just released today, lol.
It's basically the same sort of thing as Chitika. You paste some Javascript onto your site and an ad is displayed. you get paid each time someone clicks on the ad. It's best suited to product based sites.
Do these Widgets generally pay more than Adsense,ValueClick and Casale Media? (i know they are differn't). Just curious? Also Chikita or Widget Bucks?
Absolutely NOT... I ran it for 2 weeks and at first it looked good but they quickly pulled a Chitika and cut more than half the clicks. Check out the end of this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=509997&highlight=cpm&page=14
