Hi all I have been running an instant messenger widget for socical networking sites for a couple of months now its called minimobs.com Traffic has been increasing due to link exchange partnerships and we now have almost 4000 signups, but iam really keen to find other ways to promote this idea, I have also tried many widget banks and widget directories but they are so crowded its hard to get any real trafffic from them. Does anyone have any experience with widget promotion or ideas on how I can in a way reach the kids, as i guess they control the social networking sites these days. Please also PM me if you would be interested in a viral link exchange, where your link will appear on every widget you convert to signup.

Do a blogger outreach. Email 30-80 blogs and do a 1 paragraph pitch about your Web site. Target myspace, tech, im, communication, and teen blogs.
