Widget Bucks PHP problem

Discussion in 'Programming' started by tennisplayer89, Oct 31, 2007.

I am trying to install widgetbucks on my phpbb2 forum and I get this message "Parse error: parse error, unexpected '}' in /home/content/r/i/c/richard089/html/includes/template.php(127) : eval()'d code on line 1"
It says that there is a problem on line 1 in template.php in the includes folder. I don't see the problem. Is it their code or is it my file? How do I fix? If you need the code, I'll post it.

It is saying that there is an error in a file I'm not even putting the code into. I only get the error when I insert the widget bucks code on the index page. The template.php works fine when I don't use widget bucks. I don't have any php on my index.tpl. Is the Widget Bucks code interacting somehow with another file incorrectly?

you need to put it in in a .tpl etc. file that the templates are in.

    under templates/subsilver or whatever.

    IE: header.tpl

I wrote a fix for this on my widgetbucksreview.com blog. It's a work around at least. Basically it requires a free adbrite account. Read the artcile on my blog and you should be able to add in widget bucks with no problem.
