I just sold the site. Don't worry people who bought featured links, the site will be back up soon, only with a new owner.

 

Where have all the listings, featured links included, on this directory gone During the sale it looks like the database has been dropped and the submission terms have changed to reciprocal required.

I would have expected a bit more than 7 hours of listing. If I had known that there was no chance of that I would not have wasted my time submitting. Not impressed at all at this.

I have no problems with Stefan selling the site, however the new owners need to accept what is there and take care to preserve it. Instead they have ripped it apart and short changed existing clients of the directory. Bad form indeed.

 

The "free link submissions" tagline is a little misleading since a reciprocal is required to submit.

I emailed the new owner and told him to import all the old databases. No response yet. But don't worry I'm making another directory and I'll upload that same database too so yeah. I'll get the new owner's ass in line.

 

At this point I've got to say that I'm glad you never responded to my inquiry about your screwed up pricing for the Featured Links, it would have been a waste......................

 

I never got an inquery, but if the new owner dosn't setup the old database soon, I'm sending out refunds.

 

Too bad it won't accept listings w/o a recip.

Especially when it asks the recip to link to "www.yourdomain.com".

I doubt that will do much wideon.net.

 

While I accept its not your fault Stefan I would be giving refunds now if I were you. Clearly the featured listing directory clients are not getting what they have paid for. Those that had free links are not getting anything either, but atleast we don't have the foul taste of paying for something and receiving nothing aswell.

 

Lucky for me.

 

Contacting the new owner today via telephone instead of email. I will make him send out refunds since it is his fault. If not, I'll refund you, but I'll get the money out of him since it is his fault that he made Wideon, a cool directory, a piece of shit.

 

I note that the new owner has erected a pile of PPC ads overnight. Pity he is still not servicing the clients.

 

Ok this Saturday if everything is not back to normal your all getting refunds, whoever paid for featured links. Sorry for the shitty new owner that dosn't care.
