I've been wondering lately what power backlinks hold. Specifically, is it more beneficial to have a backlink across 100 different sites (1 each) or 30 links all on just a few sites. Do search engines take into consideration how many different sites link back to you in comparison to how many links go back to you?
Hmm...I'm interested in the answer, as well. Because I would think the more that a site links to another, the more they recommend it to visitors. I would think that Google would take that into account in some way. -Danielle
That's my current belief as well, 2 or 3 links each across 50 pages sounds like it would be better than having a lot of links across less pages.
What's better though, 3 links on a high quality page, or 1 link each on 10 different medium quality sites?
