Take a look here http://www.wickedfire.com/shooting-...shoemoney-super-affiliate-mindest-camels.html I think that's very unfair and rude language used...
I think he touched on a vital issue here. Just saying out what I think.. Yes, the language he used is however harsh.
I've come to the conclusion that if you can't take the language at Wicked Fire, then you might as well not go there. (not meant to sound mean or anything). It's just "their way" of communicating. All in all there is a lot of good information, but they just articulate it in a way that has become the norm among their members. A lot of the time it's quite funny. The thread in question here, however, it a great one. It certainly makes you think. It may be rude, but I think his intention is to protect the newbies from being taken in. At least that's how I took it.
Yeah. Shoe delivering a Cease/Desist order didn't help things... Oh yeah, and wickedfire has far more(and higher quality) boobs than DP. +1 points for that alone. I go there(or another forum I will not mention and allow DP to touch) when I'm actually feeling like learning something, or at least reinforcing something.
They take advantage of newbies(especially chow), and overall just make the whole business reek like steaming scammy crap. Especially chow. WickedFire is mostly composed of people a level or so up from the base audience there, and in their own odd way are protective over the newbies vs. those that spew crap. At the same time, they're pretty aggressive with newbies. Kind of an odd mix, but it works.
The more I read blogs about making money online, the more I realize that they have nothing to offer me but ads to see and affiliate links to click. Here is what I have discovered so far: blogs -- truly successful people in this industry are not going to share their winning formulas with you. You will never hear the names of people making the real and honest [as in not related to ebooks, arbitrage, guru help, etc] money online. Nor will any one of them have blogs. There are so many different reasons for this. Most of the blogs you see are here for vanity sakes and/or to generate income from pimping every single outgoing link with an affiliate id. They usually hide behind the "ohh, we do that because we are professionals, and professionals do not leave money on the table"... Right, whatever you say. ebooks -- Are all scams and fraud with the exception of maybe 1 or 2 off the top of my mind. keyword services/programs -- not any better than Google Keyword Suggest and most of the time a hell lot worse. Does anyone making good money week after week with insight rather than brute force even use these at all? I will say I do like reading shoemoney once in a while. Though his idea of getting that gastric bypass surgery so he can eat more at Tacco Bell is a sour point with me [I'm an organic food and health nut]. Some other blogs I like are uberaffiliate, revenuewire, cdfnetworks. I will also say that there are tips online, but they are only the birds-eye-view type of tips. Some of these people are professional salesmen that could turn most skeptics in under 3 minutes while offering them nothing but an empty wallet in return. You'll learn a lot more reading the Adwords Help Center and experimenting with campaigns, over waisting time going blog from blog.
I do have to agree with the comments about the artwork on the wall and that that dude does take some gay photos.. LOL
well, beside from him being extreemly rude, I think he is right. bloggers are only experts at 1 thing, and thats how to get there blogs out there to the world. and with so many blogs right now, thats a real talent.
Out of a bit over 200 posts, mine has only had 3-4 that had affiliate links, or any attempt at monetization beyond adsense But yeah, for the most part, you're correct. And btw, respecting readers pays off quite well. The one time I seriously hawked a service(it was a damn good service) I made $400 off the bat. Now I'm making about $500 per month recurring on that offer. Because my readers know that if I promote some software or a service that it really IS quality. and that I will NOT slant my review to make money.
