I see that some people here are from Chicago Il. and I was wondering how many people out there got hit with that wicked storm a little bit ago?? I seen that there are power outages everywhere!! I hope my intenet doesn't go out!!
It's nasty in the Western Suburbs. Lots of trees down and debris everywhere. The lakes and rivers are all very high now too.

Well our electricity was knocked out for 24 hours and it just came back up - we had to get a generator to get the water out of our basement...
It was one of the biggest storms I've seen in years here. I think we had about 8-10-inches in a 24 hour period! And 12+ for the week I think we had about 10-incehs in a 24 hour period! Most of the rivers in the area were already near flood levels. Now they're at least several feet above. I live near ORD on this map. Yeah, we are down in Lafayette, Indiana and was at the hospital all day when I was doing my work my ears popped and my hearing went all crazy from the pressure change.. thought it was another infection coming on. Then a bunch of people came into the lobby freaking out because of the weather. It was pretty bad but I was mostly working in the basement so it's safe.
