i just changed my site layout so that each link goes through a folder so i can change areas faster (had them all uncatergorised before) so all 13 of the 193 pages i have -.- (hate googles slow mapping) are no longer useful however i made this change yesterday and Yahoos already indexed 1 of my sites new url and its been only 18 hours since i done it >.> yahoo only shows 400(ish) backlinks to my site but google shows over 500... doesnt yahoo serpose to show more?

I noticed that for some sites Google is much faster than Yahoo while for others on the contrary.

Generally, Yahoo crawls and indexed more pages, show more backlinks.

Google always has updated my sites faster. But, I like Yahoo! better: they rank me much higher than Google. :)

I have never had a site indexed faster by Yahoo either.

Google always lists my sites way before Yahoo

That may be the case, but you should always want to rank higher on Google. It is the most prominent search engine out there. ;)

Google indexes my site faster, while Yahoo is slow and steady. I can always count on the same traffic from Yahoo. Google on the other hand, fluctuates when it sees fit.

I love the hits from Google, but the stability of the hits is another matter.

Yahoo has never been faster than Google. You can try on a youtube video and check out which is being indexed faster? Obviously is Google, that's why it's the No. 1 search engine giant with no doubt. Compare the share price of these two big companies.

For me Yahoo is indexing my website's pages faster than google. Recently i changed the title of my newly constructed site and that change is there in yahoo from yesterday and google is still showing the old title.

    Thanks...

Depends on keyword factor. Google can be faster than Yahoo. Or Yahoo can be faster than Google.

Not sure how you can get any faster that Google. I had an amazing thing happen a few days ago. I added some unique content (a couple of sentences) on my home page, uploaded the changed page, went to Google and did a search on the unique keywords for the new content, and the NEW PAGE APPEARED in Google's search results. The time from uploading the page to getting the search result was about 15 seconds. That's pretty fast.

They index the same speed. But Yahoo usually shows more backlinks than Google, Because Google wants to ne Big Brother and they do not want to show you everything.

Because Youtube is owned by Google, that's why youtube videos are being indexed faster imho.
