Why Everytime I try to sell something here .. It doesnt get so popular While OTHER ebooks .. gets popular in a matter of hours !!? I started this topic to sell my ebook " In my Sig. " But didnt get anysales till now and I dont think it is because of that Review " Lord Hades' " There is even one review copy left .. and NOBODY asked for it .. What can I call this ? The Free Thing .. isnt WANTED =[ ? Although it is a Very Good eBook for a Low price .. Its four Main Ideas are VERY UNIQUE !! What shall I do to increase my sales ? Thx, LeVampire
levampire, I want your review copy. I didn't notice your eBook promo, yet I came across your thread here and interested in one. You see, every marketing effort doesn't yield the same result - don't sweat it!
Make it look really good. Make your topic look colourful. Put a good introduction to your ebook. Get good posting users from DP to review it and post their comments etc.
I actually tried to take it easy on you in the review but what do I get? You go whining all over the place complaining Lord Hades ruined my sales. If I get a product to review, I try to be brutally honest. It's more important to help the DPers decide whether it's valuable for them or not, my objective is not to please the product owner/creator. Albeit, there was 1 good idea but the rest of the eBook was filled with junk. ANy purchaser would have immediately asked for a refund. Don't get into the infoproduct creation business if you can't take criticism and can't create half-decent stuff. I mean, half the people would get put off reading your sales-letter.
After reading what "lord hades" had to say, you should be looking into copywriting to write a better salesletter and you should put some extra effort in your Ebooks in terms of readability. Cut down on the fluff as much as you can en keep it all simple. Also don't use long sentences, short ones are easier to read. greetz, jobic
First about lord hades .. I THANKED him ,, and .. mentioned that he reviewed an OLD ebook Second .. I wrote the new book AGAIN .. all over and third .. I didnt offense you .. and didnt say you ruined my sales ANYWHERE fourth .. 3 UNIQUE IDEAS 1 KNOWN .. But I 'Twisted' it .. and 'CEO' finally reviewed the 'NEW' ebook .. he wrote an Honest review .. I know i have a problem with writing .. but it got better .. and he mentioned that the IDEAS are 100% UNIQUE
As long as you're making continuous progress it's all good you'll get there, just don't rush things. greetz, jobic
Just seeing your use of poor grammar and syntax in your posts here would prevent me from even bothering to look at your free ebook, never mind paying for it. The question that you have to ask yourself is whether you are capable of writing an ebook that is of value to anyone. Obviously, at age 14, it will not be because of your worldly experience. So what is your value proposition (i.e., why should I be interested in an ebook from you?) If you cannot answer that satisfactorily (besides 'everyone else gets to sell ebooks', etc.), then you need to re-consider whether this is going to be a moneymaker for you.
Can I try to answer your question ' Satisfactorily ' ? People should be interested in my ebook IF they want unique/out of the box Promotion/Advertising iDeas for their Teen Websites " the websites directed to teens, i.e: Music, Movies, Social Networking, etc.., NOT like : Money Making Online, Forex, Stock, etc.. " I dont think that the way of writing of an ebook is what REALLY matters, I think that the content will matter to readers more enough to make them buy it. .. after all, this is an eBook, They just have to understand the content, I'm NOT entering a test or something, But I wrote it just like in a Test Thats my best .. I think I deserve to have some copies SOLD. That was my answer, Hope it is 'satisfactorily' enough. Thx, LeVampire
That was one of the best rebuttals I've ever read. Kudos to you, mate. That's exactly the thing I've been trying to tell this guy all along. Also, you really shouldn't consider age as a decisive factor. I myself am 15 and I certainly feel I know quite a lot bout the Internet Marketing arena. I've released three eBooks so far and all of them were selling like hotcakes, so factors like your language, ability to interact with buyers, support etc. overrule your age by far. Once again, you go off. Just because you put a bit of effort into your eBook, doesn't actually oblige everyone on DP to buy. Heck, it's their money so why would they part with it for information that isn't worth it? And yes, the content does matter but only when it's written so that it's actually sensible and not illegible.
Well, it appears that you can write better, though you do not seem to know the difference between and an adjective and an adverb (see last line.) Now go re-read your first post. Is this the writing style of an author that you would like to read? I would not, especially if ti is a 'how to' book. One of the standard objectives of posting in forums is to build up respect for your knowledge on a particular subject, thereby encouraging others to buy something from you, if that is what you do. Here is another way to look at things. There are thousands (and probably more) of self-help website marketing ebooks out there. Why should anyone choose yours over any of the others? What specific advantage does your ebook bring to the party? And how can you prove that your unique content will be of value to me? Do you have several websites that have used these techniques and will they be able to provide testimonials of their success? There is much more to discuss, but I am trying to illustrate what I believe to be the three main issues you need to deal with first:\ 1. Can I trust this seller? Are his posts in forums well-regarded? Is his website for the ebook written well? What do I find on the web when I search for this author? 2. What is your unique value propostion? Why should I buy yoru book over any one of the thousands of other ebooks promising to help me grow rich on the Intenet. 3. Can you provide it works? Do you have proven results? Can you validate them? I think that taking care of these issues would get you much further down the path of selling your ebook.
Thanks. You are absolutely correct. However, you also are not selling based upon your 'worldly experience'. You are selling based upon your knowledge and skills. I agree that the age of the author is not necessarily a determiner of the value of an ebook. Nonetheless, your ebooks likely sold because they had great information, were marketed well, and delivered value. But, I doubt that they sold because you have been a well-known expert in the field for decades, like many How-To authors. It is a great sales pitch for a book, but I just do not see someone as young as you using it just yet. But, congratulations on the three ebooks! Can you provide me with links to them so I can check them out?
Ah yes! Being in the arena for "xx" years was not my USP, so once again you hit the nail on the head. My USP was basically the potential of the eBook to make quick, easy money for the buyers. I've sold off rights to all 3 of my eBooks. you can see them at: http://www.stickydosh.com http://www.lazyformula.com http://www.lazinesspays.com
