You do not have to become a list building expert to build a list of opt-in subscribers to increase your profits and residual income online. You just have to understand why you should do it, and the basic steps to follow. It stems from one simple point, who would you rather buy from? A stranger or someone you know, like, and trust? Bet I can guess what your answer is, and your right, you would buy from someone you know, like, and most importantly trust. So how can YOU by using email correspondence achieve the goal of getting people to know, like, and trust your opinions and recommendations? Why would you want them to? If you get someone to know, like, and trust you then you stand a better chance of making a recommendation to them regarding a particular product or promotion. Which equals money in your pocket for them taking you up on that offer. The more people you get like this the more money you can make. So how do you make people request information from you and actually want further information from you, and have them actually look forward to seeing your email in their in-box. You do this by starting the relationship off right. Don't try to sell them on anything. You cater to a need of theirs in exchange for nothing more than their email and name so you can send them more information based on their initial interest. Take for instance if I was searching online for "dog grooming supplies" and I run across I website with supplies, but I am still on the look out for other sites or products. I notice that they are giving away a free e-book on "How To Know What Grooming Tools Your Dog Really Needs" in exchange for my email so they can send it to me. I would be inclined to sign up so they could send that to me. If they follow up with relevant content related to that interest, then I would be more than happy to receive that info. Especially if they mention in the first email where the download for the e-book is that they will be sending more free information my way if I like, but I can click the link at the bottom of this email if that isn't something I would like. It is important to give the people who sign up to receive information from you the ability to stop receiving information from you and tell them how to do so any time that they wish. Now if I were to get the second email from them and they provide some great content and at the end of the email they make note in the P.S. of the email that they have a related product to the content that I read, they run a high chance that I will click through and even possibly make a purchase. The overall trick is to build a relationship with your lead while providing content that they have requested. It is equally important that you do not try to sell your list every opportunity that you think they will like, but rather work on picking products and program that relate to the content that you provide them. The next thing to do is correspond with them on a regular basis. That means if you send them 1 mail a week, try to send it on the same day every week.
