Why you should Believe in God - Especially for Atheists!

Aha! Now I heard the scientific base in it! This theory has been given to me by various god believers in every colorful form possible

But I completely agree with the first points of both If there is GOD im goin to heaven , if not to hell...

But the problem is with the second points in both , I gain or lose a lot , lemme show you example :-


* You live as though God exists.

o If God exists, you go to heaven: your gain is infinite.

o If God does not exist, you wasted precious hours of your life, trying to make contact with someone who doesnt exists, and scheduling/altering your whole life in such a way, that he will be pleased Now you are bored, as you already know what will happen post-death, you'll be sent to HELL!!!



* You live as though God does not exist.

o If God exists, you go to hell: your loss is infinite.

o If God does not exist, you are happy that you led a moral war against those who had created an imaginary situation and were fighting each other for it, and that you were correct all through your life. Now you are excited to see, what happens post-death

The argument that the universe came into existence by "accident" does not hold true with me because, I, like many other people, cannot believe there was simple nothingness before this "accident". It just could not be the case.

Believing in "god" because the universe is not an "accident" is ludicrous. Read the bible, read the other books, reconcile the discrepancies, and then maybe you can have a real reason to believe in "god".

 

Who is 'him'? god? only someone with a weak mind believes in 'god' and that 'god' controls the universe. It's a crutch for those that are unwilling to accept that sh*t happens. Plain and simple.

hmmmm if you believe in god, then you have to believe there had to be nothingness for him to create it. you cant claim to create something from something thats already there.

Right - the universe is just here because "shit happens"..While at face value this is easy to accept, I have found that the older I get the more inquisitive I become and the less I like to accept things at face value without putting plenty of hard thought into it.

It´s hard to fathom, but life doesnt just create itself. Time especially doesnt create life, just because "shit happens"..

For example, if you leave an empty glass on a table for a million years, I can guarantee after a million years that glass will still be empty.

 

In the same way, scientists can guarantee you that there is life on other planets.

 

I would put my money on that too...

Naw, I wouldnt put any restrictions on my life according to what the bible or some pastor says.. Thats where religion starts to get really messed up, when people/prophets/money starts getting involved.

 

The notion or possibly a fact of life on other planets does not contradict religion.
